Chun Li Vs Mai Shiranui Perler Bead Sprite Project Finished!

All done! And to show you guys how often I fail and how often I have to start over, lol, I'll show you some of the things I was going to do with this project.

My first attempt at the lower bar, which I wanted to say Bitch, What? in front of some flames, was less than satisfying. I started over with a new idea on how to create the fire aesthetic with maroon, dark red, red, butterscotch, yellow, and light yellow.

This one started off a lot better, but once I took a snap and noticed that the flash was washing out all of the graduated color scheme I'd worked so hard to create, I just...got too tired to keep going. It was getting too time consuming and tedious as it was, so I scrapped all that when a sudden idea burst into my head...

And you know, I think I'm ok with not going with my original idea! $40, mail me for details!

Omg awesome! Two of my favorite fighting ladies. Great job!

By chance do you ever post your patterns? Or perhaps have you thought about selling them? I ask because while I adore crafting, I can't make a pattern to save my life. I'm uber keen on your Sailormoon projects. I'm part of a SeraMyu stage group and I'd really like to make them for my cast-mates.

Depends on what you mean by pattern! if you mean like a cross stitch grid pattern, then no. The guides I use are sprites used directly from video games, or ones that are customized and original. The only advice I have for you is to do as I've done, and learn to count pixels and do it straight from pictures, 'cause that's all I can do too! heh

You can find the Sailor Moon sprites by searching "Lycentia" on Google.

It's a start. I have TONS of Rom screen shots from years ago. If all it is is color matching and working off a pictures then it shouldn't be too hard. I tried to make a cross stitch pattern years ago, but the Sprites didn't look quite right. Too boxy. Then again, I know more now then I did them. I was probably working on too small of a scale...

Anyway, thanks so much for your help! If I ever get anything made I'll harass you with them. ^_^

It is indeed a start! If you have any other questions, I have resources and answers via my FAQ, which you can find via the link on the right hand side of the site! Be sure to visit http://www.spriters-resource.com for sprites and rips!

That's a lot of sprites! I wish they were a little bigger, but it's nothing an imaging program can't fix. This is perfect! Thanks a lot. ^_^

Actually I do not suggest an imaging program. You do not need it. No matter how big the sprite is or isn't, one pixel is always the same size in the beading world: the size of a bead. So just put your PNG into MS Paint, use the Zoom, that's all you need.
