Wii Sports Resort Due In North America July 26th, Wii MotionPlus Due Out June 8th

As a follow-up to the pre-packaged success of Wii Sports, Nintendo is releasing a sequel: Wii Sports Resort. The game's $49.99 packaged deal will also herald the introduction of Wii MotionPlus, said to refine the WiiMote's peripherals.

The Wii MotionPlus, a simple device you plug into the end of the remote, will be bundled with the game for its July 26th 2009 (June 2009 in Japan) release. The MotionPlus itself will be available as a separate add-on June 8th, for $19.99. As you can see above, the game will feature frisbee, sword fighting, and jet skiing!

This is kind of coincidental timing for me, as I was just listening to a few of my friends bitch and moan the other day about Wii "never" releasing a sword fighting title.
