Catching Up On Nintendo's E3 Announcements: Videos

Damn I'm a lazy dirty bitch. I should have gotten this done when I saw a zillion Nintendo-related buzz words on Twitscoop. Here are the newly announced games I'm anticipating the most.

Super Mario Galaxy 2-- I was curious to see what they'd pull out of their hat ass for the next Mario installment, but I did not expect SMG2. Very surprised. I guess when you've taken Mario to outer space, there isn't really anywhere else to go. Bring it on! Shigeru Miyamoto has said that the game was originally going to be Super Mario Galaxy's levels with new objectives, but has ended up "90% original". (So, 10% of the game is levels from Super Mario Galaxy, just with different goals. Weird). The game will also add Yoshi and a "drill feature". We're looking at a 2010 release:

Metroid: The Other M. Looks like a mix of first and third player with some swish cut scenes:

Wii Fit Plus. What can you say about that, really. More ways to make pain another word for your name:

Wii Sport Resort, which we've already covered a little here at Gamer Grrlz. This update on Wii Sports will feature six new training exercises and fifteen new balance board mini-games, and users can build work outs to target specific areas of the body:

Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles (which has been known for a few months now but woot, yay for video): I'm excited about this (yay for RE titles on Nintendo consoles!) but I hope it looks better than RE4 ended up looking on my Wii...

Red Steel 2:

Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2. This will make about fivefuckingmillion people happy. I think I just heard my sister squeal all the way from Spokane.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! for DSiWare. Slated for a June 8th release, at 800 DSi Points: :

Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, an RPG that takes place from Bowser's perspective, for DS:

The New Super Mario Brothers for Wii, a four player co-operative sequel to the DS game. This one looks like a lot of fun, sort of a Four Swords adventure, only with Mario:

Golden Sun DS. Yes, the GBA classic 2D RPG is coming to DS! Try not to mess yourself:

Glaringly absent was any Legend of Zelda news. Miyamoto says he hopes to make an announcement on that next year.

Super Mario Galaxy was a lot of fun so I'm pumped for the sequel to that. The new 4 player Mario seems like it could be cool provided you have people to play it with. Too bad Wii's online system blows or it might make that easier.

Jumping Jawas I forgot to mention the new Metroid game. Now I've hated every Metroid game since the Gamecube but with Team Ninja being involved I have to admit that I'm a little curious. With them on board though you have to expect that Samus will now be sporting a DD chest and her power suit will get mysteriously damaged to reveal some cleavage and jiggle phsyics.

I'm interested in Final Fantasy and the new super mario bros game for the wii.

I've posted a link from my site to yours for these videos. :)
