As soon as I saw the train, I remember thinking “I want to go to there”. How lucky were we that we got to do just that? Infernal Train, as simple as the level was, may have been one of Alice: Madness Returns’ best.
The latter half of Alice 2’s Dollhouse level greatly redeemed the first, in my opinion. I prefer the darker version of the obnoxiously bright decor, and finally tracking down the train was a gasp-worthy moment. Not gonna lie, I spent a good ten minutes just staring down at it from my view on the cliff.
Ah, “The Dollhouse” level. It was deliciously startling to see cameos from The Jabberwock, White Rabbit, and The Mad Hatter, but in general I thought this level was a bit gaudy, very Katy Perry plus steampunk plus Sid Phillips.
It was greatly redeemed by what was to come, though.
