Spicy Horse Art Sale Includes Alice: Madness Returns Poster
Spicy Horse is having an art sale over at the official site, discounting stunning artwork by their own in-house artists. Above is “Metal Coils”, a 12in x 16in promotional poster for Alice: Madness Returns normally priced at $61.50, now $49.20. Why a poster is over fifty dollars in the first place, I’m not sure, but if the inflation rate is anything like that of the original game itself, I’d get your hands on these now!
Alice: Madness Returns Set For Release In June
EA fittingly took the time at GDC today to announce the release date on the latest American McGee/Spicy Horse project, sequel Alice: Madness Returns. Our troubled heroine’s wrestle with insanity begins anew on June 14 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Can you believe how expensive copies of the original are now? I remember buying it for five bucks in a bargain bin at Wal-Mart back when it still had cult hit status. Now the sequel is coming out, and new copies are going for up to $499. Yeah. It’s times like these I wish I was a hoarder. About now would be the time to cash in on my post Y2K gaming days.

Alice And Her Madness Return With Another Trailer
The above video is:
A) Awesome
B) American McGee’s attempt to out-Tim Burton Tim Burton
C) The most complete look we’ve yet had at Alice: Madness Returns
D) Oddly reminiscent of Super Mario Galaxy
E) All of the above
Answer E all of the above. In terms of Alice: Madness Returns trailers, this is the one you can’t miss. It retains that claymation look we saw in earlier videos, while giving a fully realized glimpse into Alice’s return to Wonderland. Personally, I find it a little cartoony for my tastes. It’s lost a lot of darkness compared to the original, and Alice looks like an obnoxious goth chick. All the same, I can safely say I’m still interested, if not more so.
Alice’s madness returns late this year on PC, Xbox 360, and PC.

New American McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns Trailer, Screenshots, And Art
Can you believe I slept through this news yesterday? I guess watching Judge Judy and drinking Boone’s Farm all day really wears a bitch out.
So yesterday, in light of Comic Con and the kajillion resulting announcements, EA released a slew of new Alice 2 materials, including screen shots, character art, and a teaser trailer. And when they say teaser, they say teaser. It’s all of about ten seconds. Which is fine ‘cause Alice does this Ringu-esque barfing up blood bullshit that reminded me more of Mischa Barton’s scene in The Sixth Sense than it did Alice (“I feel much better now!”). The screen shots look like an improved version of the American McGee’s Alice originals, which is good, but I must say I’m disappointed with the direction Alice’s character design is going. She’s looking a little too Alma-ish for me. Alice might have been tortured, but she wasn’t evil. Ah well.
Alice 2, officially titled Alice: Madness Returns, will mark not only a return to American McGee’s twisted Wonderland after ten long years, but also Alice’s leap to multiplatform. Alice: Madness Returns will be available on PC, XBOX 360, and PS3. Here are a few screen shots and pieces of concept art. You can check out the better quality versions, and more, at the gallery here.
American McGee’s Alice SEQUEL?!?
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I’m doing Xandir’s OMG gay dance. I know I should be absolutely shitting my pants at this news but I’m still too stunned. Too stunned to shit my pants in surprise, that’s how shocked I am. The video gaming world has come to learn there will be a sequel to American McGee’s Alice!
And according to the EA press statement, its scheduled to be a multi-platform release! Could this get any weirder? The next Alice installment will be available on XBOX 360 and PS3 in addition to PC. McGee himself took to his blog to confirm the news and leak the title, The Return Of American McGee’s Alice. All that’s known so far are these details. I would have reported them with a fair amount of flair had I not been so taken aback. Trust me, there is no bigger fan in this world of American McGee’s Alice. I just…wow. Shock. I guess this means I better get a jump on my Alice cosplay.
Wow. Just, wow. via Technabob.
