Craving a bit of gown with your game? Australian designer Anna Cabral did. And so she created Amnesia Creed, a small collection inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
The outfit on the male model, you’ll notice, is strongly inspired by Amnesia’s Daniel, while the female models channel AC:R with their dark hoods. The show was even set to the Revelations trailer music! Check out this link to see more photos.
So I finally put on my big girl panties last night and finished up Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Actually, I think I probably played what could be considered the majority of the game. I got tired of it just laying around unfinished on my Steam library list and went at it, knocking out everything from “Stay Out Of The Water” to the end. And I was surprised to find out there are three endings! I may tape those later, if anyone is interested.
I was also surprised at the abundance of penis. Typically in games, even on the dead bodies, the nudity is reserved for females, regardless of relevancy. In this case, several bodies in the morgue of the castle are fully exposed. And shockingly, it actually added to the story. The only game nudity I’ve been given before has been meant solely to titillate male players. While shuddering past the cadavers, I had a much deeper sense of horror at the vulnerability and terror the characters experienced before their deaths. It was humanizing, in an odd way. I’m almost confused at how much effect an e-penis had on me.
So of course I have to post screen shots. Or at least a few. I warn you, the screen shots above do contain some disturbing imagery. Not the least of which is the nude David Carradine near the end. Seriously, I could have done without the geriatric full frontal. And so can you. But I’m posting it anyway, whee!
I’ll be playing some mods for this game later, and of course playing the dlc Justine. If you’re unfamiliar with Amnesia: The Dark Descent, you can check out the first forty minutes of gameplay via my YouTube video, part one of a series that I will continue if there’s interest.
I’ve taken on a very brave endeavor. I have decided to restart Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Those of you who (insert obligatory amnesia joke here) remember my first spin at this game will also remember how utterly pants shittingly terrified I was, and how after a certain point I could no longer go on. Well, now that I’ve played through Darkfall: Lost Souls, I think I could withstand just about anything. And if the first 40 minutes I’ve taped of the game is any indication, I’ve improved at this game (and not wetting my pants) quite a bit! It is actually now worth your time to view my gameplay video, which you can do below. Screen shots are in the gallery above.
Raptr Giving Away Free Copy Of Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Well, what a coincidence! Right now Raptr, my favoritest new time waster, is giving away Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the horror PC game I bought a few weeks ago during Steam’s holiday sale. My Facebook friends will also identify it as “that game Bad Fish has been wetting her pants over for the past week”, as I’ve been dragging my weepy parts all over the Internet every time I get close to a terror induced heart attack.
I’ve been tripped up on this part of Amnesia (above video) for awhile, mostly because I’ve been sofuckingterrified. Why this part? I have no idea. I think it’s the unseen horror in the water that you never quite make out the form of. And when I get a tiny bit panicked, I’m SHIT for jumping. So most of my runs of this level ended like this.
I was content to just not play this one for awhile, until my friend Andrea came over the other night and told me that not only had she played it, she had also gotten past that part. So then, of course, it was on like monkey dong.
I finally was able to bomb through, mostly using the SHIFT to run and trying my damnedness to stay distracted by my friends’ chatter enough that I could get through the gate. The lever, you see, only keeps up a gated door for a few minutes. In other words, you can’t take your sweet fucking time about it.
If you’d like to win a free copy of this game, head over to the Raptr Facebook page, which has instructions (via their Wall). And while you’re at it, head on over to Raptr to sign up for an account. Why? Because we’re taking over one girl at a time, that’s why.
