My Kinect has arrived! Look how intently it stares at me with those beady little eyes.
But which one is the REAL Kinect? The world may never know.
I shelled out for the stinkin’ $250 package, one that included Dance Central, Dance Masters, and Kinect Adventures. At first I forgot I was getting KA, and I also forgot that Dance Masters was the dance game at the Konami booth at E3 2010 I was so interested in, so at first I anticipated not having much to play on this bad boy.
Obligatory box opening shots.
Since I’ll now need the space, I moved around the living room to optimize the quickest and safest way to make room.
Past visitors to my home (you know, pizza dudes, adult protective services, and SWAT team) will notice there’s a Christmas tree where my couch and table used to be. The smaller table in between the chair and bean bag can now be easily removed and placed in the corner.
Everything else has been delegated to this nook where my craft table used to be. Was also the open spot where I stored the giant bean bag. Not no more. Note the handy space next to the couch for all my craft supplies, sweet.
Christmas tree! With a theme. One that does not match a bit of the rest of the Christmas themed stuff in the house.
And the aesthetic is destroyed by the lights. As this is a fake tree, it came with them already, and you should have seen the look on my face when I found out they weren’t white.
No matter, I guess…the video game ornaments I’m putting on are multi colored, too. Speaking of which…
These are the new ones. Mega Man from Mega Man Universe, Pac-Man, the Triforce, a Left 4 Dead health pack (which I totes only made because I’m crushin’ on someone who’s obsessed with that game), a Yoshi’s egg, some seeds from Deadly Premonition, and a blue ghost from Pac-Man.
Starting to look a little more formidable eh? Gotta step things up this week though.
My Threadless tees also got here.
As did my Video Girl Ai DVD so I’m just bustin’ out Christmas at the seams today. Notice I got the “We Got Some Work To Do Now” tee that I’ve featured here before.
In other news, I’m totally obsessed with my new Raptr account. You guys have to sign up. And not just ‘cause I need more friends on there, but also because it’s awesome. It syncs all your gaming profiles and let’s everyone know when you’re playing a game, gain an achievement, level up, etc. You can compare scores and stats with your friends, and it even lets you perv on them through their handy chat client, where their status and activity will show you what they’re up to. For instance, a couple of hours ago, fellow Gamer Grrlz writer MorganSkye was browsing Netflix and then switched to Fallout: New Vegas. It’s the handiest tool for a wannabe otaku I’ve ever seen. GO. DO IT. NOW.
