Another E3 hottie.
Edit: OMG WHO IS THAT SITTING ON THE FLOOR.  He too is hot.

As you can see, energy dropped to a low.
From the last day of E3 2011, taken while I was eating BBQ tri tip, rice, and beans. And my third beer of the day. Coincidentally this was the first time I’d truly eaten in four days. E3 will muthafuckin’ kill you, yo.

Screen shots of Dance Central 2, which will have two player on screen battles, instead of making you switch places like in the original. All songs from the first can be imported to the sequel!

I gotta put in a special word for Majesco Entertainment, I had a fantastic time at their meeting room this year. I got to spend some time on Camping Mama and Cooking Mama 4, and also met the producer on The Hidden, a 3DS game debuting sometime around Halloween. She and I had a great conversation about women in the gaming industry, in fact, she told me that Majesco has a staff that’s about 35% female. I told her I appreciated their recent efforts at the company to make the Mama franchise more gender inclusive, and that as a gender nonconformist myself, I also respected her as a mom for encouraging her recently graduated daughter to go into a traditionally non feminine field (computer science). It’s really our responsibilities as mothers to be the social reinforcement that encourages them to pursue what society traditionally tells us isn’t for them. It was great to see that those are values held by at least some of the major players over at Majesco Entertainment, whatever you may think about the Mama franchise.

Or Hulk Hogan’s Main Event. Dude has the skin of a hot dog.

While not a huge overhaul of changes have come to Harmonix hit Dance Central (though really, few needed to be made), Dance Central 2 still looks like a must-have. They’ve improved the two player so that you can now battle it out on the same screen, instead of having to switch and take turns during competition. Of course, there will be all new songs but you’ll also be able to import the songs from your first Dance Central copy to the second, so no switching back and forth between discs if you just have to play a certain song.

I tried out Bulletproof by LaRoux at E3 2011, accompanied by one of Dance Central‘s choreographers. Those who are addicted to the first will be pleased to know that at least some moves from the original will still be used in the sequel.

Since the Luigi’s Mansion 2 art was so popular, I have a feeling you folks will love this. Watch Luigi suck it up in the Luigi’s Mansion 2 trailer, fresh from Nintendo’s E3 2011 show.

Link’s suitin’ up and getting tough in this new Skyward Swords trailer from E3. Oddly (and by that I mean exhaustedly) I was unable to see this at the Nintendo booth, as busy as I was with the Wii U. I like it!

NIN-TEN-OH MY GOD

It’s a beautiful day to be a Nintendo fan! I got up super early for the last day of E3 to make it over to the booth to test out the Wii U. Lucky me, participating in the mad rush actually paid off, as I not only spent a mere hour waiting to play Wii U but also spotted…

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime! My editor pointed him out, and by the time I’d squealed and grabbed my camera, he’d already spotted us and posed for this pic. I may or may not have yelled out “THETANOOKI.COM LOVES YOU” and blown a kiss while I was at it. Which as it turns out…

Was NOT a bad idea! My friend Gil Ruta of Nintendo of America’s ESRB division actually spotted me as I was busy embarrassing myself, and made room for us on the media platform upstairs and I was not only able to play a little more Wii U before my back spasmed out (no line waiting!), but also get some fantastic shots of the booth.

Zelda in HD! And it was stunning!

A tech demo for the Wii U included a Japanese garden that you wandered around as a bird. It was stunning.

I also played Super Mario Bros. Mii, and ROCKED IT. It’ll be very easy to pick up if you’re already familiar with the Wii or DS versions.

Look, even Cooking Mama made it to the show!

I love this advert.  I will be buying PSVita for the Uncharted: Golden Abyss alone. OK, also the Wi-Fi/3G capability.
Edit: quote from my friend Michael: “We all know you wanna hold Nathan Drake in the palm of your hands”. So true. So true.

Yes, I kept perving on E3 dudes. There were so few men set up as hot demonstrators…you know, if they’d at least keep things balanced and equal, I think a lot less people would resent the presence of booth babes…if you offer both, you’re at least saying you prioritize men AND women, and respect the sexuality of both. I think I could appreciate that.

Also, this dude makes me pants happy.
