Geek Chic Cosmetics Review part 2

I have this thing about eyeshadow. I rarely put it on properly and I always tend to set the make-up gun to 11 since I’m either in costume or having to show through my glasses. So to be able to be vibrant without being trashy is awesome. If all of GC’s eyes are this good then I’m going to be buying every single one of their colors. No lie. These colors make me want to actually make an effort!

Get As Pretty As A Princess Peach With Geek Chic Cosmetics

Pictured: Are There Any Girls There?, Solid Snake, and Triforce

Zombie geeks, Nintendo geeks, sci-fi geeks, D&D geeks—Geek Chic Cosmetics has got you all covered! Not just a line featuring geek culture inspired names, they also boast a range of products that are free of typical irritants, fillers, and “junk”. Which, as a geek, I actually love to put gross stuff in my body (how else would I get the taurine, caffeine, and all the other ines I need to keep up these long gaming hours?) but I do appreciate the thought.

Of their beauty products, their eyeshadows look the best, with names like Excuuuse Me, Princess!, Goomba, It’s-A-Me!, and Where’s The Mountain Brew? My favorites are Portal Blue, Portal Orange, Tan-ooki, Chewie, and Glass Cannon. You can get them in themed sets, with all six Mario eyeshadows for $24.99, packaged in tubs with an image of Princess Peach on top (sadly, not the 8 bit hearts above, though I suggest to Geek Chic Cosmetics they try that sometime, that would be the best)! They also have lip stick and glosses, foundation, and cosplay skin tints (including N’avi)! I’ve yet to try them but I’m giving that Portal Blue and Portal Orange some serious consideration.

Prices vary from $4.99 per eyeshadow to $11.99 for foundation, with various themed combo packs of the products. Check out the link below for all the details.

(Geek) Nailed It

Fake nails don’t really jive well with the button mashing lifestyle of the modern female gamer, but eh. I appreciate the thought all the same. These are much, much, much, MUCH MUCH much much, better than a certain other set I’ve featured here before. Much.

…much

$15.00, by Geek Nails.

Not gonna lie, love these both.

I Heart This Ring

This is possibly the best ring ever made to express your undying geek affection for the one you adore…or to leave a cool heart imprinted in someone’s face. Your choice. Me, I prefer to give the punch of love.

Super Mario Evening Wear

Um yeah. As a female, and a gamer, and a geekcraft fan, I want to be supportive of this Mario inspired evening wear. But most of these look like they coulda been made after a run to the craft store for a glue gun and some sequin rope. The little white one is cute. The rest…well, let’s hope there’s a demand for Mario loving, over the hill cocktail waitresses in Vegas. Said the “designer” *cough*:

So I’m a fashion major. Graduated in 2007, and just NOW got around to uploading pics of my stuff! I’m an avid gamer for life. Shooters, RPGs, PC, nintendo, Xbox… I’ll play anything if I can afford it. I also don’t like to take myself too seriously, so I decided that my senior collection was going to be mario eveningwear. Ya know, lots of sequins, duchess satin, chiffon, coupled with the crazy icons we know and love.

So yeah, ya know, easy A. Hit up Craftster for more.

The Force Is Not With Marc Ecko

Star Wars Death Maul Hoodie, and Star Wars Darth Vader Hoodie, both $98 each.

These are super cool and everything… I just don’t think Marc Ecko was accessing his audience very well. Apparently he’s not aware that nerds don’t shop designer. Don’t get me wrong, they (I mean, we) like hoodies. Just not ones that lack thumb holes, cost two copies of Fallout 3, and will probably get you beat up wherever you go, unless that happens to be a Kanye West concert.

Star Wars Clone Trooper Hoodie, and Star Wars Real Trooper Hoodie, also $98 a piece.

Star Wars Vader Blader (editors note: groan) T, $14.99, and Tattoo Trooper T, $24.99.

Who wants to pay good money to see Marc Ecko give Star Wars the Ed Hardy treatment? I’m not sure I do.

The hoodies are available for pre order at Marc Ecko’s store (ship in Oct), the T shirts and some other items are already available. And while they’re “technically” for men I figure anything is a woman’s garment if you order it small enough, amiright ladies? Prices vary, more designs and ordering available via ShopEcko.

Pac Man-ia

Photobucket

Its time for a Pacman dump post! There’s a little bit of everything I love in here. Bags, shoes, jewelery, accessories, even a vintage-inspired T. And shot glasses! Those beautiful tiny barrels of booze. Now if only there was a bong or some Ghost-grade chronic. It’d be enough to make me…well, do what that big yellow guy is doing in that animated gif up there. He looks like a happy fellow.

Hallmark just started an arcade game Christmas ornament line! And it looks like a tradition in the making for the greeting cards giant. The Pac-Man version came out Christmas 2008, and 2009 will bring Galaga. Also, each light up and play their theme music when you press a button. Screw Christmas carols, my tree is rocking out to the Pac-man theme this year! via Technabob
