I had to watch this Kirby’s Mass Attack trailer a kajillion times while in the Nintendo booth today but I don’t care, that gaggle of Kirbys is adorable.

The best part about this table is that it’s actually playable! There’s also storage inside.

Nintendari? Katatendo?

I like this piece. I think it’s neat. I’m posting it because I enjoy it. This will piss off the artist very much, apparently, if his deviantART page is any indication. Actually, as a geek crafter I find his reaction kind of funny, as I too have found that many people end up preferring my amateurish pieces that took of all of five minutes to complete. It’s just the nostalgia factor; if you don’t want the piece to resonate with people because of the familiarity, you need to chose a different subject.

I think we should all go over there and tell him it’s the best work he’s ever done, just for fun.

Geekcraft Is The Reason For The Season

Here’s an update on Sculpey clay ornaments I’m making. I have to finish painting the Fallout: New Vegas die, as well as a pink Wii Remote and a Half Life crowbar (candy cane style) not included in the picture above. The maxim tomato and red and green mushroom are from last night. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, I pull off today: the paint job I’m about to attempt is going to be tricky, and I don’t know that I have the masking tape to pull it off. Another trip to the craft store (the fourth in eight days) might be in order.

Epic Mickey ornament is epic. Not bad for a first timer trying to make a logo that resembles a blot of paint, am I right?

Kirby’s Epic Wang

“What happened to Kirby”? A massive erection, that’s what. Which raises all kinds of concerns, because in Kirby’s case, he is what he eats.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn Needs To Be Here Already

If ever there was a game we could designate the Gamer Grrlz mascot, surely this one would be it.

When I saw Kirby’s Epic Yarn at E3 2010 I instantly noted (as a few GG fans did) how perfect it was for geekcraft enthusiasts such as myself. I may prefer games with the words “eviscerate” and “gut wrenching blood bath” in the descriptor, but I do love me some cute, pink, and Kirby. Plus, it’s kind of perfect that they went with a distinct look for Kirby’s big Wii title. I think the yarn-like art style is what will really make the anticipation right up there with Metroid: Other M and Skyward Swords, cinching Kirby’s transition from B+ list mascot to the top tier of Nintendo stars, up there with Mario and Link.

This Body Mod Jewelry Is En-Gauging!

The work of polymer prodigy K8bit is something to be marveled at. How many things in this world are so awesome that you want to stab huge holes in your ears just so you be a part of it? Not many, I’m thinking. That’s why these are so special. Because they want me to stretch and tear at my earlobes until I can accommodate them. Yes.

I’ve posted the coolest of these here, but you can find a variety of game gauges at her Etsy for varying prices, with everything from Kirby to Mario to Final Fantasy in the mix. Be sure to check it out!
