It didn’t come through a press conference, press release, or even a blog post, but hey, confirmation is confirmation! In a note on the company’s Japanese investor relations website, Nintendo stated their plans to launch a Wii successor in 2012 and to show off a model at E3 2011:
I’m almost disappointed that the game I’m most excited for on the 3DS is one I’ve already played eight times over.
Almost. Did you SEE these screen shots? They practically look HD compared to the original.

Rumor: Nintendo Wii to drop to $150
It’s been awhile since the last price drop on the Wii, originally $250 but resting comfortably at $200 for the past 18 months. Citing a trusted source, Engadget says another price drop is imminent, lowering the ubiquitous little console tag to $150.
Would you take this opportunity to buy a Wii? Or are you like every other person with a pulse of the face of the Earth, and already have one?
