Alice And Her Madness Return With Another Teaser Trailer
Another day, another edition of “shit I’m embarrassed to admit I missed”. In this case, the second teaser the American McGee’s Alice sequel Madness Returns, due out on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in 2011.
And here is the first, just in case you missed it. Which, if you were relying on me at all, you probably did:
Damnit! A Diablo III Demo At Gamescom?!?
You’ll have to forgive me. Gamescom 2010 was almost two weeks ago, I found these pics nine days later, and yet I’m only now getting around to posting them. Blind rage will do that to you. These people are playing DIABLO FUCKING III. For. Fuck’s. Sake. How dare they not invite me. How dare they not even let me know they were going to be at Gamescom? And how dare my feeble lady brain miss this in the sea of press assets and announcements I posted during the event?
These pictures were passed on by a Spanish friend of mine, and while I do in fact speak Spanish…well, I don’t speak that good of Spanish. So I apologize that I cannot translate more of the accompanying account of his Diablo III experience at Gamescom other than to say he overall had a good time, thought the interface was user friendly, and that the gameplay, audio, and graphics were all “bien”. Check it out for yourself, via video, here. I am just lovin’ that blood red. It’s really nice when developers/publishers can afford to incorporate some atmosphere into their booths. Almost makes you forget the misery of not being able to buy whatever you’re demoing.[Nieube]
The Honeymoon Is Over
Ever been at the tail end of a relationship, one that ended with a fizzle instead of a bang? Faded away instead of burnt out? The passion fades, and both of you go through the motions, still fucking each other because hey you have needs and the next best thing hasn’t happened yet? I’m so there with Fallout 3 right now. The love, the passion, the obsession, is gone. We’ve downgraded from soul mates to mere fuck buddies. My true love awaits, and it’s name is Fallout: New Vegas. Now that I’ve had a taste, there’s no going back.
Above and below is some concept artwork for New Vegas that I am only now just finding, thanks to my handy dandy new Bethesda press login. Some fan I turned out to be.
Better late than never!
Castle Crashers For PSN Gets A Volleyball Minigame!
Sigh. I need an entire blog label for “How the hell did I miss this?!?”. I have no idea when Castle Crashers was confirmed as coming to PSN. Not only is it due for sometime this year…it also has something the XBOX Live version doesn’t. Something that makes it worth buying on another console.
Current fans no doubt remember the at-first-baffling game of volleyball played in the Sand Castle Roof level:
The PSN version of Castle Crashers will include the volleyball as a minigame with a buttload of ways to play. You can go co-op or vs., local or online. There will be new spiking and serving moves, leaderboards to track the best players, and up to 4 vs. 4 player matches. You can even use a magic attack on the ball to imbue it with a special magic status for added effect.
They better keep the resounding “FAIL!” at the end of every lost match. That’s the best part.
