Raptr Giving Away Free Copy Of Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Well, what a coincidence! Right now Raptr, my favoritest new time waster, is giving away Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the horror PC game I bought a few weeks ago during Steam’s holiday sale. My Facebook friends will also identify it as “that game Bad Fish has been wetting her pants over for the past week”, as I’ve been dragging my weepy parts all over the Internet every time I get close to a terror induced heart attack.

I’ve been tripped up on this part of Amnesia (above video) for awhile, mostly because I’ve been sofuckingterrified. Why this part? I have no idea. I think it’s the unseen horror in the water that you never quite make out the form of. And when I get a tiny bit panicked, I’m SHIT for jumping. So most of my runs of this level ended like this.

I was content to just not play this one for awhile, until my friend Andrea came over the other night and told me that not only had she played it, she had also gotten past that part. So then, of course, it was on like monkey dong.

I finally was able to bomb through, mostly using the SHIFT to run and trying my damnedness to stay distracted by my friends’ chatter enough that I could get through the gate. The lever, you see, only keeps up a gated door for a few minutes. In other words, you can’t take your sweet fucking time about it.

If you’d like to win a free copy of this game, head over to the Raptr Facebook page, which has instructions (via their Wall).  And while you’re at it, head on over to Raptr to sign up for an account. Why? Because we’re taking over one girl at a time, that’s why.
