UNDERWEAR. I WILL BE BUYING THIS BECAUSE CUTE UNDERWEAR. EA has just announced the upcoming The Sims 3 Diesel Stuff, available in July. It adds three dozen wardrobe items for men and women, many from the Diesel spring/summer 2012 line, as well as home furnishings and decor items. You can pre-order the pack now for the standard $20.
Cake before Swordfish? I totally spoiled his dinner.
(Actually the animation turns the food into a slice of cake before they swallow it, I just happened to get a lucky shot, ha).
Since Lunar Lakes has kind of a “space” theme to it, I’m redecorating my Sims home accordingly. Downstairs in the living room, I’m going with a more ’60s moon madness theme, complete with retro television set and record player. I need to change out the couch and deepen that marine blue on the walls but after that the room will almost be complete.
Oh so bored without Showtime. I do recommend picking up Lunar Lakes though.
My Sim spent a quiet day fishing for puddle shark.
Still waiting on my copy of The Sims 3Showtime :( Apparently it was sent to my editor’s house and he was at GDC all week. So, I’ve been hanging out in China while I wait. World Adventures is one of my favorite Sims expansions ever and I haven’t spent nearly enough time there, especially now that the excavation bug is fixed. I was a bit of an archaeology nerd growing up, so WA was kind of a dream come true. You know, in the lame virtual sense. All the same I love it.
My friend PixelPixies has got to be one of the most creative Simmers on the planet. She not only puts all my Sims files to shame, she also presents them so creatively that I could just weep with pure jealousy. To check out her recent series with Marilyn Monroe, complete with custom character built by Italian site Rock The Sims, check out this tag.

If you’re not up to speed on why we take issue with The Sims 3 and Iams pet food partnership, please read this post or visit IamsCruelty.com. If you love animals, please do not support Iams!
And Here I Thought I Couldn’t Be Any More Disappointed With EA
I guess I haven’t been to the Sims 3 store in some time, because this is the first I’m seeing this: The Sims 3 Iams Pet Starter Kit. The page is accompanied by the text:
Start your pet on the right track today! Do you love your pets? Yes? Well we do too! So do our friends at Iams!
No. Iam does not love pets. Iams has persistently been experimenting on animals for decades, and their actions have been among the most cruel. The last time they got caught they made a bit of progress in how they treat their subjects, but they are still far from humane, and refuse to allow their facilities to be evaluated. It’s disheartening to see EA partner with Iams, when such partnerships continue to perpetuate the myth that Iams can be trusted to provide the best for our animals. While they claim their studies are only in the interest of nutrition, I don’t know that I’d trust my pet’s health in the hands of a company who can’t be bothered to treat their 700 test subjects with any decency.
It was cute watching April help Andy with his Grilled Cheese Aspiration on Parks And Recreation the other night.
“The Birds”
Remember the custom Nyan Cat download I posted a bit ago? I guess I hadn’t realized EA put an official Nyan Cat reference in The Sims 3 Pets of their own!
Did I name my new Sims 3 pet Punch just so I could do this? Maybe.
Upcoming The Sims 3 expansion Pets is also getting the Gamescom trailer treatment, and its pretty adorable. And I say that as a non-Pets anticipator. I pretty much hate responsibility, and that includes virtual ones. All the same, the cute is tempting me.
