I have exactly 420 followers right now. Time to bust out the Wii’d shot.

First day purchase for me! I plan to buy the Skyward Sword bundle (available Nov. 20) and set my gold Wii Remote next to my gold Classic Pro Controller on my Nintendo stand, so they can be friends. 

Headline of my career, right there.

Nintendo will be joining the slim console bandwagon this holiday season with a new, thinner Wii. This trimmed down version will sit horizontally, as pictured above, and like its fat predecessor will not play Gamecube games.

A new bundle will contain the wee Wii, Wii Party, and Wii Sports and debut in the UK “before Christmas”. No word yet on Stateside release.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword finally has a release date! The much anticipated title is due on the Nintendo Wii November 20, 2011 in North America.

Link’s suitin’ up and getting tough in this new Skyward Swords trailer from E3. Oddly (and by that I mean exhaustedly) I was unable to see this at the Nintendo booth, as busy as I was with the Wii U. I like it!

Amidst low sales and anticipation of a next gen console, Nintendo has confirmed the rumored price drop on the Wii. Starting May 15, you can pick up the Nintendo Wii with a copy of Mario Kart and a matching wheel accessory for $150. In addition to this price drop, they’ve announced the launch of Nintendo Selects, a set of budget priced games for the Wii. Set to debut the same day, the four must-own titles in this collection are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers and Wii Sports, available for the first time as a separate stand alone game. Each are at the new low price of $19.99. The new black Wii wheel, created for the new bundles, is also being sold separately for $9.99.

Mega Man X is now available on Wii’s Virtual Console for 800 Wii Points. Here are three screen shots they released for the occasion.

It’s been awhile since the last price drop on the Wii, originally $250 but resting comfortably at $200 for the past 18 months. Citing a trusted source, Engadget says another price drop is imminent, lowering the ubiquitous little console tag to $150.
